Career-wise, I don’t know how to say what I am. I’ve been a shop clerk, a secretary, a night cleaner, a door person. I’ve made fudge and sold it, made knitwear and sold it, made stories and poems and sold them. I’ve sold ad space, and I’ve written ad copy. I’ve done a little bit of translation, a little bit of copy editing, and a lot of transcription. I’ve written descriptions of images for an e-reader to read aloud, so that vision-impaired people could hear what’s in the image. And I’ve created subtitles for videos so hearing-impaired folks could see what the people are saying.
I don’t provide all of these services now. Mostly I do writing and transcription.
